Digital Artist

Natasha Karungi

Kashushu is a Ugandan digital artist whose work is a blend of lines, patterns and geometric shapes that she uses to reimagine human figures, landscapes and overall tell vibrant visual stories. With her work, she hopes to inspire other artists to follow their dreams regardless of societal norms and as well as change the narrative of digital art through showing the limitless possibilities of how digital art can be showcased.

Founder of Breakdance Project Uganda

Abramz Tekya

Abramz Tekya, founder of Breakdance Project Uganda, uses hip-hop to inspire social change. Born in Uganda, he created a platform empowering youth through breakdancing, teamwork, and leadership. Focused on unity and education, Abramz transforms lives by addressing social challenges, fostering self-expression, and building resilient communities across Uganda and beyond.

Dancer and Kyaninga Mobility Ambassador

Rogers Bisereko

Rogers Bisereko is an artist who has not let his lower body paralysis keep him from his passion: dance. Hailing from Uganda, Rogers passionately advocates for the inclusion of people living with disabilities in performing arts, participating in the fight to reduce inequalities. Rogers is also an ambassador for Kyaninga Mobility, an organization that aims to create high-quality, low-cost wheelchairs and other mobility aids for children around East Africa.

Matovu Nkoba Ismael

Matovu Nkoba is a dynamic and innovative individual with a passion for leveraging technology and entrepreneurship to drive positive change. With experience in leading sustainable development projects, founding startups, and participating in global initiatives, he aims to create impact. He is a self-driven learner seeking global opportunities to drive innovation in sustainable development and technology sectors, most notably with his company Clawest, which utilizes AI technology to help people gain access to clean water.

Photographer and Filmmaker

Ambrose Watanda

Ambrose Watanda is an accomplished Humanitarian photographer, filmmaker, and content developer based in Kampala, Uganda. He has worked with reputable national and international not-for-profit organizations in Uganda and has built competence in film concept development, script writing, storyboard development, photo/video editing, and sound design. He is an inspiring artist and filmmaker in Uganda, and with his passion, he motivates and advocates for change.

Child-Rights Activist

Akiru Ruth Juliet

Ruth is an Iteso from Tororo. Ruth's childhood was complicated; and she grew up with no father and was raised by a grandmother who single-handedly looked after and educated thirteen children. Through determination and courage, Ruth managed to move from the village to Kampala where she now manages Kampala Fair, a small ethical fashion label based in Uganda, East Africa, designing and producing high-quality apparel and home décor. Ruth is always seeking ways to support and help women gain independence and security.

Ghetto Kids

The dance/music group founded in 2014 by Daouda Kavuma, is composed of children from the Katwe slums in Kampala, Uganda. They have appeared on major platforms across the world – featuring in French Montana's "Unforgettable" video, performing at a World Cup 2022 event in Qatar, and famously receiving a mid-performance ‘golden buzzer’ on Britain's Got Talent in 2023.

Deaf Sign Alliance

Evisions a society where Deaf persons have equal opportunities and live dignified lives. Our mission is to support and empower Deaf persons to live a better quality of life. In our work, we are guided by these values, Transparency, Team Work, Innovation, Quality, Hard work, Respect for the people we work with and serve and ‘nothing about us without us’.

African Children’s Choir

Composed of African children aged 8 to 11 years old, the Choir is a program of a larger international organization called Music for Life, which provides thousands of impoverished children throughout Africa with the education, discipleship and leadership skills needed to rise above their conditions so they can bring positive, lasting change to their families, communities and countries.

Crane Performers

Crane Performers is a group of talented youths with the objective of achieving education and a better future through the use of their talents in performing arts. They will perform Ugandan cultural dances and engage the audience in an interactive show!
