Student-Led Workshops

1. STEM Pioneers

STEM Pioneers is an in-school club hosted by Mahima Pritmani, Zoe Ane, and Muskaan Gurbani. We designed the club to be a safe space where students can explore STEM concepts in a fun, hands-on way. The club also fosters collaboration and communication, as students work in teams to tackle challenges such as quizzes, drawing cells from memory, and more. Additionally, we aim to extend our impact to local communities through our foundation, the Learning for All Initiative. Within our school, we’ve witnessed students transform into curious problem-solvers. Through our foundation, we aspire to inspire a similar transformation in communities beyond our own.

2. Love To The Brave

The "Love to the Brave Project" is dedicated to brightening the days of cancer patients by delivering homemade sweet baked goods to a local cancer hospital. Our goal is to provide comfort, joy, and a sense of community through tasty treats that remind patients they are not alone in their fight. By offering these small moments of sweetness, we aim to uplift their spirits, foster hope, and create positive emotional connections during a challenging time. With this project, we also hope to open doors for future projects that involve this cancer hospital. The type of service is direct service because it involves personal interaction and hands-on engagement with the community we helped. By visiting the cancer hospital in person, delivering homemade baked goods, and spending time with the patients and their families, we directly contributed to their well-being. This face-to-face connection allows us to create a more immediate and meaningful impact, which gives a sense of comfort and joy to the kids during their challenging time. Through these actions, we saw firsthand how our service made a difference, which strengthened the bond between us and the people we helped.

However, in recent years there has been an 18% decline in fish production and new players in the market include international fishing fleets with methods that remove huge quantities of fish, leaving less technologically advanced fishing boats, and the families that depend on them, trailing in their wake. The environmental impact of these methods is also considerable. Join us in a simulation of the life of those involved in the fishing industry, and experience the challenges and benefits they experience on a daily basis as they seek to balance the immediate needs of their families and the environmental needs of the lakes and oceans where they work.
